My recently turned 9yr. old daughter received this for one of her birthday gifts. She loved getting her own mail! Then, she got even more excited to learn it was something she could make all by herself....and I loved that too! Almost 2 hours of imaginative play and best of all... no screen time. I just got a subscription...KiwiCo...keep the creativity coming for the kids!

My 9 year old loved this. It kept him busy for a while and the end result was beautiful. I actually got to sit with him and make one succulent and it was very calming.

This crate required very little parent interaction. There was much more "don't help, this will be all my creation" and much less "mom please show me what they mean." Meant I could watch and help with encouragement rather than demonstration, which was great. Also really beautiful results, making a great opportunity to talk about fractal iteration making beautiful things.
