Behind the design
“What's cooler than building and customizing your own lantern? Making it float! I decided to use transparent rings to mimic how magicians create floating illusions — the harder the rings are to see, the more magical the illusion looks! ”
By the numbers

I wouldn't change a thing. My 10 year old worked this project and the walking robot in 30 min each, with no help from me. He is thrilled with these projects.
This is absolutely great project for 7-8 years old kid. My son loved the mystical part of it that it’s “levitating “. We love kiwico and I occasionally buy a crate to occupy my kids with science and get their hands and mind busy in thinking. It’s great that they use wood as a natural material.
Very cool project! It works exactly as expected. My 9 year old enjoyed putting it together, and while it was a little challenging, he was able to do it himself. I love that it’s also functional and nice looking on display!
